Nineteenth-century Americanists responded with remarkable enthusiasm and support to the creation of C19 in 2009! Over five hundred people proposed papers for the May 2010 conference at Penn State, and the C19 listserv continues to grow from its initial membership of almost 800. This enthusiastic community of members has been the driving force behind the first-phase of the organization’s development, and your membership is absolutely vital to C19’s successful next steps.
Membership will give you a voice in C19.
Active members will be able to:
- vote in C19 leadership elections and matters of concern to the organization
- learn about the upcoming conference and suggest topics that you would like to see represented at the conference
- hear about the latest developments with the C19 journal
